Her Honour the Vice President of the Republic of Zambia officiated at the Architecture Conference and AGM in Livingstone.
This year’s conference is themed, “architecture in the ever-changing world”,
The theme reflects the dynamic nature of the challenges that the architectural profession and the built environment face in responding to global shifts.
This conference provides a unique platform for architects, to engage with each other, learn from each others’ experiences, and contribute insights. The Architects participation is vital for fostering a dynamic and forward -thinking architectural community.
Mrs Mutale Nalumango invited architects to take a keen interest in the upgrading project of Kanyama compound in Lusaka city that government is undertaking adding that there is need to join hands in fostering sustainable urban settlements for a better tomorrow.
“I call upon all of us to embrace the challenges and opportunities presented by our ever-changing world. Let us innovate, collaborate and lead the way in creating a sustainable and inclusive future for all. Let us also put a premium on quality and expertise” she said.
Meanwhile Hon Eng Charles Milupi challenged the Zambia Institute of Architects to strengthen capabilities of their members, particularly in modern trends of project management and delivery.
