The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has welcomed the inauguration of the Kazungula Bridge Authority (KBA) Board of Directors, which took place in Kasane.
This significant milestone marks a major step towards operationalizing the KBA.
The KBA Board brings together highly experienced professionals from Botswana and Zambia, who will work together to drive economic growth and development in the region.
The Board members include:
1. Ms Agnes Mothobi (Botswana)
2. Ms Jeanette C. Makgolo (Botswana)
3. Mr. Tomeletso Rodgers Rasetapa (Botswana)
4. Mr. Kitso Leburu (Botswana)
5. Professor Albert Malama (Zambia)
6. Professor Mundia Muya (Zambia)
7. Eng. Jairos Mhango (Zambia)
8. Mr. Luckson Kazaba (Zambia)
9. Ms. Marilyn Rachaba (Board Secretary, Botswana)
The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development notes that the KBA will be governed by a Council of Ministers, Board of Directors, and an Executive Director.
The Council of Ministers will comprise six members, consisting of Ministers of Infrastructure, Finance, and Trade from Botswana and Zambia.
The Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, Honourable Eng. Charles L. Milupi, recently met with his counterpart, Honourable Noah S.L.M Salakae, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Botswana, in Kasane to receive the new KBA Board of Directors.
The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development looks forward to working with the KBA Board to promote economic development and regional cooperation.
The Kazungula Bridge Authority is expected to play a key role in enhancing regional connectivity and driving economic growth.
