The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development recently conducted a site inspection of the ongoing construction project for ten medium-cost houses and external works in Chilanga District, Lusaka Province.
Director of Public Infrastructure, Engineer Clive Khan, led the inspection and expressed satisfaction with the progress so far.
The project, executed by Traka Technical Services Limited, aims to complete the construction of ten medium-cost houses and external works.
According to the site inspection report, all ten houses have been painted externally and internally, floor and wall tiling have been completed, and plumbing second fix has been completed on all houses.
The contractor is currently working on external works, including drainage, access roads, and retaining walls. The surface-mounted water tank plinth is completed, and fabrication of the water tank is in progress.
Engineer Khan is happy with the progress and expects the houses to be ready for occupancy by December 2025.
The houses are 3 bedrooms with master bedrooms self-contained.
