FLASH FLOODS CUT OFF MPHAMBA BRIDGE ACCESS IN LUNDAZI

‎Access across Mphamba Bridge in Lundazi District has been cut off after flash floods swept away both bridges, the Road Development Agency (RDA) has announced.
‎The bridge, located on the Lundazi–Chitungulu (D104) Road approximately one kilometre from the Lundazi Central Business District, is a vital route linking surrounding communities to the town.
‎The RDA has warned motorists and the general public that the bridge is currently unsafe for use and has advised travellers to postpone journeys using the route until further notice.
‎Emergency response teams from the agency are already on site and have initiated remedial works to address the damage. Further details on restoration efforts are expected to be communicated later.
