On-site infrastructure, including buildings, internal roads and parking, is 90% complete. AVIC has employed 400 locals during the rainy season and plans to hire 650 more in the dry season. The project is on track to be completed by August 2026, ahead of schedule.
The road to Mufulira is 58% done and set to be finished by March 2026. On-site access roads are complete, and truck parking areas are under construction. Once complete, the modernized Sakania Border Post will boost trade and commerce between Zambia and the DRC, providing a safer and more efficient experience for truckers and travelers.
