The newly completed lanes, together with the Ndola Teaching Hospital roundabout, will be opened to traffic to allow uninterrupted movement into and out of Ndola, even as minor finishing works continue. This development is expected to significantly decongest the area and restore smooth traffic flow, including improved access from Chifubu through Kwacha Road to the city centre and beyond. The Copperbelt Province Minister, Hon Elisha Matambo who toured the project expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of works delivered so far, describing the road as a clear demonstration of how PPPs are enabling the New Dawn Government to fast-track critical infrastructure projects for public benefit. Once completed, the Ndola–Lusaka Dual Carriageway will strengthen regional connectivity, support trade, ease daily commuting for motorists and boost the economy. The government has commended residents for their patience during construction-related delays and reaffirmed its commitment to closely monitor and accelerate road works across townships on the Copperbelt Province. The project underscores the New Dawn administration’s resolve to use innovative financing partnerships to modernise Zambia’s road network and drive inclusive economic development.
