 Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone

The Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone is Zambia’s first state owned Economic Zone. Designated by the Government of Zambia in 2010 to drive economic diversification. It is being developed as a mixed-use facility with various land uses which include Industrial, Commercial, Research and Development, Housing, Institutions, and Parks. The mixed-use development is planned to attract both local and foreign firms to invest in the Zone which in turn will promote manufacturing, stimulate export activities, technological development, skills transfer, job and wealth creation. Currently the LS MFEZ has 101 approved investors which has attracted a total of USD 1.59 billion in investment. The overall goal is to establish a vibrant, innovative and integrated industrial, commercial and residential satellite city and economic driver for the City of Lusaka and Zambia as a whole.
