The company is the largest independent voice, data and IP provider on the continent of Africa. Liquid Telecoms has rebranded to Liquid Intelligent Technologies. This rebrand depicts the multiple services that the company now provides as a supplier of fibre optic, satellite and international carrier service in Africa, mobile networking, ISPs and business solutions. The company has recently added data storage, and communications solutions such as networking, cloud and cyber security to its portfolio. The entity has transitioned enormously.
The Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone is Zambia’s first state owned Economic Zone. Designated by the Government of Zambia in 2010 to drive economic diversification. It is being developed as a mixed-use facility with various land uses which include Industrial, Commercial, Research and Development, Housing, Institutions, and Parks. The mixed-use development is planned to attract both local and foreign firms to invest in the Zone which in turn will promote manufacturing, stimulate export activities, technological development, skills transfer, job and wealth creation. Currently the LS MFEZ has 101 approved investors which has attracted a total of USD 1.59 billion in investment. The overall goal is to establish a vibrant, innovative and integrated industrial, commercial and residential satellite city and economic driver for the City of Lusaka and Zambia as a whole.
